I have been wondering for awhile now if the ACC does somehow keeps its members and tries to compete with the B10 and SEC, who out there could help us get a TV contract that can at least be relevant to theirs. So after doing some research its slim pickens out there but here is my list of teams we could possibly get to at least be stronger nationally to command a new contract.
1. Notre Dame has to become a full member and as much as I dont want them here, it only makes sense to get them. TV knows they bring ratings, so they are #1 on the list.
2. Central Florida is my next, yes they just joined the Big12 but they are a fast rising school with Gus leading the charge. The are a large school with a awesome fan base that is growing.
3. Oklahoma State, thats right the Cowboys have a great fan base and bring a new market to the ACC. Longshot here but value is what the need is.
4. Oregon and Washington package deal is next as we branch out to the west coast in a Football only addition. No other sports required, we did this ND why not change up sports and make it Football only.
5. Coastal Carolina, laugh but this little giant is gaining national exposure and since we have Duke, Syracuse and GT, why not stur the pot. They are upgrading facilities and the stadium, a invite would just do them better.
6. Rice, yes Rice could bring us the Houston market and help the ACC education rankings level, and adds another team to the mid west area.
Well those are just my thoughts for fun, tell me who you think would be great for the ACC....?
